Centre Spécialités Pharmaceutiques was founded in 1951 in Puy-de-Dôme of the region ‘Centre’. Today, the headquarters of CSP are located in Cournon d’Auvergne near Clermont-Ferrand.
CSP has deliberately chosen an implantation with two sites in France: Clermont-Ferrand and Paris. These two pharmaceutical structures are supported and supplemented by a network of transport agencies dedicated to public health. This guarantees traceability and control of temperature during transport in compliance with the Good Distribution Practices.
This integral logistical chain ensures a very-high quality of service that is not only very appreciated by pharmaceutical companies but also by destination customers such as pharmacists –in towns or hospitals-, wholesalers, physicians, and dentists and even, in certain cases, patients. Quality of service is indeed at the very heart of CPS’s daily considerations.
Shared expertise for a European distribution
Both CSP sites in France ensure the domestic distribution as well as the growing international one. CSP in Moussy-le-Neuf is 9km close to the airport of Roissy Charles de Gaulle and has obvious advantages for the takeover of air freight. Its location at the crossroads of northern Europe allows ongoing communication with regular road connections to the ports of Le Havre, Dunkerque, Marseille, Anvers, and also towards the East.
The IT system is identical in Cournon d’Auvergne and in Moussy. The Quality Assurance organisation deploys its expertise on both pharmaceutical warehouses with local quality teams which are part of the Quality Management France.
